Can corporate giving still play a role in overcoming social challenges?

As the year draws to a close, 108 companies have reported their corporate social investment (CSI) figures, totaling an estimated R12.7 billion—a 7.5% increase from the previous year. A new report reveals key trends, exploring how corporate giving is managed and how projects transition from financial contributions to initiatives involving products, services, or mentorship.

Under the theme “Collaboration for Change,” the report also examines how companies create capacity-building opportunities for community-based organisations and identifies the sectors benefiting most from these efforts.

Our upcoming guests emphasise that collaboration and leadership are crucial to addressing South Africa’s social challenges. They argue that strategic philanthropy can drive more impactful social change, empowering communities and contributing to a stronger nation.
