The urgency with which all sectors of society must act to address South Africa’s gaping socioeconomic divide is only reinforced by Covid-19. The environment has changed irreversibly in the past few months and corporate social investment (CSI) needs to adjust to the new and growing societal needs as well as the additional resources or constraints on the business.

Trialogue has adapted its CSI strategy framework to facilitate quick support for CSI strategy reviews, in light of the pandemic.

We are offering three types of support:

  1. Free 45-minute high-level presentations to foundation boards, company CSI committees or executives. These will not be tailored to the specific company but will provide some context and strategic decision points for leaders to consider.
  2. Light strategy review processes, facilitated by Trialogue, with a Covid-19 lens. These will entail collecting data on your company’s CSI programme through questionnaires and data templates; conducting a desktop review of the information; and a Trialogue-facilitated three-hour workshop with relevant CSI representatives to go through key decision points, including available resources, key programmatic shifts and internal changes required. The outcome will be a set of agreed CSI strategy shifts required in the short and longer terms.
  3. Assistance in implementing the CSI strategic shifts. This could involve support with updating existing strategy or policy documentation, exiting programmes, identifying new programmes, adjusting programmes or setting up monitoring and evaluation frameworks and reviewing projects.
