Beauty Mokgwamme

Beauty Mokgwamme farms angora goats and heads up the Mohair Empowerment Trust, which she joined in 2018. She has 15 years’ experience in agriculture, specialising in small stock production as well as practical training in mohair and wool. She is passionate about empowering emerging farmers to become commercial angora goat farmers, and strives to uplift them and, in so doing, strengthen the mohair industry. A wife and mother of three, Beauty’s love of angora goats developed while she was studying at Grootfontein College of Agriculture, from 2003 to 2005. Grootfontein is the only institution in the world that specialises in angora goat farming.
