Bernard began his career at the Ministry of Finance in 2007 as a key research analyst with the Budget Implementation Support Team (BIST). He joined HFC Bank in December 2007 as a strategic planning and research officer. He served as executive secretary of the Ghana Housing Finance Association and has worked closely with the World Bank and USAID Ghana. Bernard has a Master of Philosophy degree in economics from the University of Ghana (MPHIL Economics) and more than 14 years’ experience providing expert advice in a variety of developmental and financial areas. He is currenly lead of access to finance for the Mastercard Foundation. His focus at the Foundation is engaging key stakeholders for country strategy development, programme design and implementation. Over the past three years Bernard has successfully developed and managed a portfolio of programmes estimated at $200 million.
