Bertha Magoge has a Bachelor of Social Work degree and is pursuing a Masters in Social Work at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Throughout her 20-year career, Bertha has been advocating for children’s rights and those of vulnerable communities. Some of the recent roles that Bertha has held include executive director of Inclusive Education South Africa, director at Training and Resources in Early Education, programme director at Health and Development Africa and national programme manager at Child Welfare South Africa. Bertha has also worked regionally in Sub-Saharan Africa on child programming, community development, policies, and advocacy for vulnerable and orphaned children, their families and communities.
