Dr Siviwe Malongweni is a distinguished soil scientist and environmental sustainability specialist with a profound commitment to advancing sustainable practices in agri-ecosystems. With a PhD in Soil Science, she has dedicated over eight years to pioneering research and impactful projects focused on the intersection of soil health, biodiversity conservation, and climate change mitigation. She obtained an MSc degree in environmental science and technology from Japan, and worked as an environmental scientist at Meiwa Co., Ltd., gaining valuable industry experience and insights into corporate environmental stewardship. She currently serves as a Research Coordinator at Anthesis Group, a leading international carbon consultancy and offset provider. Through her work, she aims to unravel the pivotal role of ecosystems in climate change mitigation and adaptation, while supporting the restoration of degraded lands and promoting sustainable agriculture.
