Dr. Thabo Pitse is the founder and CEO of EBL Institute of Business and Technology. He is a globally recognised champion of entrepreneurship development, digital skills empowerment, and economic transformation across Africa and beyond. Over the past decade, he has trained and mentored over 1 500 entrepreneurs through university-accredited programs and mobilised significant funding to make entrepreneurial education accessible in South Africa. In addition, over 1 000 job-seeking individuals have been equipped with digital skills to help them successfully integrate into the digital economy. Dr. Pitse has also impacted the lives of more than 10 000 teenagers through an entrepreneurship in schools programme. In 2023, Dr. Pitse was bestowed with a Global Humanitarianism Award in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), the same honour previously awarded to global leaders including presidents Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter.
