Feryal has qualifications in public relations, corporate governance and citizenship, and a postgraduate qualification in management studies from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town. As operations director at Inyathelo, she conducts governance training, and provides advice and guidance on Inyathelo’s Ten Elements of Advancement. She previously spent 23 years at multinational BP Southern Africa, where she was responsible for CSI strategy, employee engagement programmes, and M&E of CSI projects in eight sub-Saharan countries. Feryal led an international NPO that uses soccer as a platform to educate South Africans about healthy lifestyles and the prevention of HIV/Aids. She has served on the boards of NPOs focusing on education, road safety, childcare, youth development, sports development and community development.
