Luthando Brukwe is the Head of Strategy and Special Projects at the Mineworkers Development Agency, overseeing the implementation and coordination of the organisation’s strategy for the socioeconomic development of former mineworkers, their dependents, and communities. Brukwe received a Special Award from the Premier of Gauteng in March 2018 and was named one of the top 200 influential young persons in community service by the Mail & Guardian in 2017. Prior to this, he served as a Parliamentary Liaison Officer at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and as the Head of Transformation Unit at the National Union of Mineworkers.
