
Maluta Netshaulu has extensive experience in the banking and finance space where he spent over 12 years looking after agriculture portfolios from smallholder farmers to large commercial farmers. His expertise and experience ranges from research, relationship management, credit evaluation and risk, new business development and strategy. He is also passionate about sustainability and climate resilience with the objective to improve operational efficiencies, grow businesses, create sustainable livelihoods and uplift communities. Recently he joined the Nedbank CSI team (from Nedbank Commercial Banking) to look after the Green Economy portfolio which partners with intermediaries (NPOs, NGOs and PBOs) for the advancement of their beneficiaries to grow their enterprises, improve their skills and create jobs within the four Green Economy pillars namely Agriculture, Energy, Water and Waste. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics & Statistics from UCT and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Agricultural Economics from Stellenbosch University. He is also a thought leader and columnist of a digital news platform Food For Mzansi.
