Nelly Mofokeng is the managing director of Junior Achievement South Africa (JA South Africa), a non- profit organisation affiliated to JA Worldwide – one of the largest business education organisations, operating in over 120 countries. As a JA alumni herself, Mofokeng has a long-standing history with the organisation. She completed an out-of-school enterprise development programme through JA South Africa in 1994. She holds a BTech: Business Administration from the University of Johannesburg, a diploma in Financial Accounting from Varsity College, a Management Advancement Programme certificate from the Wits Business School, and a Master’s in Business Leadership from the Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership. In 2015, she completed the Social Entrepreneurship Programme at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). Mofokeng is passionate about youth enterprise development and has more than ten years’ executive management experience. In her role as managing director, she undertakes the key responsibilities of organisational fundraising, leadership support and stakeholder relations.
