Nomfundo Mogapi is the executive director at the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR). She has more than 16 years of senior leadership and management experience. Mogapi previously worked as the head of psychosocial interventions at CSVR and as the director of the South African Institute for Traumatic Stress. She was also employed as a clinical psychologist and community liaison officer at the Trauma Clinic, where she offered psychosocial support to survivors of political and violent crime. She has contributed to shaping regional policies such as the African Union Transitional Justice Policy, the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights General Comment on redress for victims of torture, and has provided capacity building to a range of groups, including leaders within the health and education sectors.
