Nonhlanhla Magagula is the head of corporate citizenship programmes at Absa. A development practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in the sector, predominantly within financial services, her portfolio oversees the delivery of entrepreneurship Initiatives, the Absa CSI Trust and the employee volunteering portfolio. She is passionate about the economic empowerment of youth and enabling them to maximise their potential. Her career spans coaching university students for academic and personal leadership excellence during her tenure at the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, to designing initiatives to unlock opportunities and removing barriers for youth to be active participants in the economy during her time at entities such as FirstRand and the Standard Bank Tutuwa Community Foundation.
