Professor Anastacia Mamabolo is a full professor specialising in entrepreneurship and research design at the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). She currently holds the position of Absa Chair in Entrepreneurship at GIBS. Her research around the role of faith and human capital in management and entrepreneurial activities within the African entrepreneurial ecosystem. This work has been used by scholars and practitioners to measure the effectiveness of entrepreneur skills training. In 2023, she received the Distinguished Woman Researchers in Humanities and Social Sciences award at the South African Women in Science Awards . Professor Mamabolo also contributes to youth development programmes and school outreach initiatives.
