Sarah Mthintso was born and raised in Tembisa, Gauteng. As the head of corporate social responsibility (CSR) at Telkom, her primary portfolio includes CSI and transformation. Before working at Telkom, she was the head of corporate affairs at Old Mutual, where she oversaw CSR, broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) and stakeholder relations. She has served on numerous boards, including the Old Mutual Education Trust and the Telkom Foundation Trust. She obtained an MBA from Wits Business School in 2018 and also holds a BA Social Work degree and a certificate in strategy and organisation from Wits University.
