Sibongile Khumalo is the executive director of The Learning Trust, an intermediary donor and capacity development organisation that supports South Africa’s emerging after-school sector. She has 18 years’ experience in extended learning programmes, youth development, systems change, scholarship management, and non-profit operations. In 2013, Sibongile was named one of Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans, and in 2016 she was awarded the YALI Mandela Washington Fellowship as an International Associate of Wagner College. She is an Ashoka Changemaker, Africa Leadership Initiative fellow, and part of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Sibongile is a proponent of Black Women’s leadership and collective investments and serves on the boards of Sasol Foundation, Nedbank Private Wealth Foundations, and Innovation Edge.
