Thapelo Mokwena completed a diploma in Management Science at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in 2018. During his studies, he worked as a supervisor at a security company in Soshanguve for two years. He joined Lesedi la Batho as Chief Operating Officer on a three-month contract in 2019 before becoming Project Coordinator. From March 2021, he became the centre manager. Thapelo enjoys being part of Lesedi la Batho staff as he is working within his own community, instilling hope and fulfilling his core purpose – to help others.
